Lace Cactus

Post by dmillard »

Image
Lace Cactus (Echinocereus reichenbachii), 23 Technikardan, Sony A7, 150mm Apo-Componon

I took this image last April just behind my house, using a slight amount of rear tilt, and only 3 images in the stack (a very short stack). The cacti are covered with buds at the moment, which should be blossoming in the next couple of weeks.

that's beautiful! I can imagine it as a poster.

Unusual flower, I'm curious to see more of the center part, something to show the symmetries.

Thanks Carmen!

I'll photograph the central part when they open, hopefully before the beetles and bumblebees spread too much pollen.
