I know that one member might get this straightaway. Otherwise, I am being deliberately unhelpful
The image has not been cropped but has been sharpened and contrast increased. Detail was scarcely visible in the viewfinder. Furhter clues/images will be posted, as appropriate:

Curses! I was too helpful with the sharpening.
The pose first posted was held for several seconds a number of times during several minutes. The magnification was 5:1 on the sensor. It was on a blackcurant leaf.
Some more shots, in case anyone has yet to guess:
It would then lower itself to about 45% (viewed from different angle) cropped:
and spend most of its time horizontal:

On a nearby bush, two styles (one polka dot) of 'overcoats' were modelled by this amorous couple:
Same magnification as the original post, then cropped by about 20%:
Harlequins.
The yellow beastie is a newly moulted pupa, the larva having set about this seconds after I saw it on the leaf and walked on by.
All: Olympus E-P2, Tamron SP 90mm f2.5 macro, with a Marumi DHG Achromat Macro-330 (+3) supplementary lens. This makes it 3:1 on the sensor. The 90mm set at f5.6 or f8, 1/100 ISO 640, hand-held.
