That is a strange insect - and I really like the way you composed it, especially the second image. Very nice.

Never seen one but its GORGEOUS !!. Besides the superb work and shots, this is just a beautiful subject. Thanks for showing something unique to me. Fantastic.

Yes. aka Ephemeroptera.

Our local riverside meadows are well-populated with them, mostly sheltering under the shade of leaves on low vegetation. True to their name, we saw the first ones during the first day or to of May. They seem unimpressed by seasonal progression due to global warming. They are the only insects to undergo a final moult after emergence and flying.
