Nikon U Objective

Post by peter-h »

Hello,

I need some help for 2 Nikon objectives.
http://www.mikroskopie-ph.de/Nikon-U.jpg

I have no datasheet and dont know anything about the application.
May be for reflecting light ?
For the U20 there is a Code No. MSB-52-200 . The year was 1983.

Has anyone some more information about this 2 Nikons ?

Best regards
Peter

Ciao Peter,
I have the Nikon U10 and the Nikon U20; they are achromat iris-equipped metallurgical objectives.
The Nikon U10 (that I use currently) is a very good choice for photomicrography at 6-8x; the Nikon U20 is a good choice but only with 200mm or more of tube lenght (if not, you have very bad corners).
Working distance is about 15mm (that is excellent for a 10mm!).
