In astronomy we use a "flip mirror" which is a folding mirror that would allow you to send the light beam from the side entrance, and remove it to take the photo. I have my flip mirror waiting in the drawer to be mounted. You can also use it to place an eyepiece and observe with your eye what you are going to photograph

You can get a beam splitter very cheaply from AliExpress. I have personally used the following parts:
Such a wonderful community! I have these parts on order now.

If you are using a microscope, an analog method to shining a laser through the eyepiece of a DSLR is to use an epi-brightfield illuminator. In addition to projecting a light spot onto the subject, when the scope is brought to approximate focus, the liight spot (as visually observed by looking directly at the subject, not through the microscope) becomes smallest and brightest, and afterwards you only need to trim the fine focus. Then you need to switch off the epi illuminator and switch on whatever incident illumination system you use for imaging. As a rule, epi-brightfield produces too flat an illumination to be useful for imaging three-dimensional subjects.

Much the same result can be obtained with an epi-darkfield illuminator and BD objectives equipped with a coaxial illumination sleeve around the objective. In this case the cost is higher because you also need a new set of objectives. At present I am actually experimenting with epi-darkfield and BD objectives to see if the illumination can be made more directional and useful for imaging. The idea is somewhat similar to the filters discussed in the past on PM.net for COL transmitted illumination.

You can get a beam splitter very cheaply from AliExpress. I have personally used the following parts:

"Half Reflection Half Transmission Lens Adapter for Monocular Coaxial Digital Microscope" (i.e. beam splitter)
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32898574847.html

"Datyson Microscope Photography Accessory 30mm Interface to M42" (for coupling the beam splitter to your tube lens)
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001231388266.html

It comes with a standard M26 mount on the front for Mitutoyo-type objectives - the RMS variant just includes an adapter ring. Other types of adapter rings are available elsewhere.
I decided to proceed with the purchase of these two products, my problem is that my setup is with SM2 thread, the only adapter I found is SM2 to M42x1. Do you know how much compatibility there is between M42x0.75 and M42x1?

They're not compatible. You could get SM2 to a larger diameter, then use a stepdown ring.

Perhaps https://www.aliexpress.com/i/2255799868461926.html could help?

Maybe not for low budget affairs.
