I was unaware of this lens until someone let me know he was buying for use with a Canon RP for coin photography. At first I thought he was doing some sort of "crop factor" calc to say the lens had 1.4x mag rather than the typical 1:1 of other Canon 100mm macros, but indeed this lens seems to be capable of a true 1.4x. Who knew? Seems a good match for many apps, and especially for coins on FF. It's a bit expensive though, $1399, but it has a spherical aberration "SA" knob to adjust the bokeh. OK.
Anyone bought one or know of a good review?

Re: Canon RF 100mm 1.4x Macro
I can’t vouch for the quality…

The latter has links to videos for Pergear and Nikon lenses, as well.
A drawback of the Canon R cameras is that focus bracketing means use of the electronic shutter, which drops the output to 12 bit. I believe, too, the camera can’t fire a flash in focus bracketing mode.
