Prior Optiscan Stage adapted to Stackshot for Stack & Stitch setups

Post by Macro_Cosmos »

Hi, after several days of inhaling solder fumes, I bring you this article. What was supposed to take 2 hours ended up taking 3 days due to an apparently faulty cable. I use apparently because I can't find why, where, and how it malfunctioned.

Here's a short clip of the stage in action (take your headphones off): https://youtu.be/PrW4E_PmuRk
(hope we can embed one day)
You can find a longer video in the article featuring my ramblings at 4am, after sniffing solder fumes.

These stages are a lot more intuitive to setup compared to industrial linear actuators in my opinion, but they are sort of scarce and sometimes not cheap. With Stackshot allowed limiter inputs and had support for a joystick. Either way, fiddling a touch screen is preferable to tactile buttons.

Feel free to ask questions, thanks.
