This seems to be new, from EO: https://www.edmundoptics.com/f/high-con ... ilm/14385/
9000:1 extinction ratio. EO's glass ones are 10,000:1. I have their 50mm and 25mm ones, quality is excellent. The film ones are way cheaper, with a working temperature of -40C to 80C, these can be an excellent substitute to the extremely costly glass polarisers.
Transmission looks nicer as well: (film on top, glass on bottom)
For what it's worth, these film ones are thinner too; though for modern infinity conjugate systems, the thickness shouldn't matter as the polariser is expected to be inserted between the objective and a tube lens focused to infinity.
One of their flocking sheets are on sale too: https://www.edmundoptics.com/f/light-ab ... ial/11682/
Never used these, anyone has a clue?
