Questions regarding relay optics on photoeyepieces.
Hello, I am curious on the possibility of implementing a reducing relay lens after a projection eyepiece in order to perform photomicrography. More specifically, I would like to know if an Olympus NFK 3.3x eyepiece could be substituted for a 2.5x if a reducing relay is used to decrease its (the 3.3x) magnification and thereby increase the F.O.V. Does anybody have experience with this photomicrographic setup and if so how did it compare with using the lesser mag photoeyepiece?

Yes, it works https://www.photomacrography.net/forum/ ... 25&t=25345
But I haven't done any systematic tests of image quality since.
I was thinking about using a 0.7x camera speedbooster for the same purpose but I haven't brought myself to spend the money on this when afocal is so much easier.
