Stuart Semple has announced Black 4.0. It's not so cheap, but perhaps has advantages over earlier versions when used as a flocking paint.

Re: CultureHustle Black 4.0
I tried it for my extension rings much better: https://www.the-black-market.com/market ... ut-kiwami/
it is a very thin adhesive backed foam and does not produce any fuzz like fabric which ends up on the sensor! And much blacker.

Re: CultureHustle Black 4.0
I have used Black 2.0 and 3.0 for this purpose and also for making black backgrounds / stages, its pretty amazing and does not seem to shed sharticles. Applying per directions and using a couple coats gives good results. I make a lot of paper light baffles for custom optics and use it there as well. 5 years on, no issues and some of them are stored in hot garages, cold sheds etc. so far no issues.
