I think it's good at that price point but I would prefer the Sony A6500 or Fuji X-T3 myself, though they are more expensive.

The lack of EVF is a big negative for me and I'm not a fan of the EF-M mount. I'm after a more prosumer grade APS-C and the M6 mkII definitely isn't that, the closest we have to that is probably the X-T3 even after the recent A6600 release.

How well does Canon's focus bracketing work? That's a nice feature to have that Sony doesn't offer in their APS-C line up.

Will it have AA filter? What about EFSC?

Excellent. Any idea about AA filter?

Edited to add: I finally found a site (imaging-resource) that lists the M6m2 as having AA filter, which was listed as an advantage that "reduces unsightly moire".

Hi Ray,
I haven’t found anything about the anti-aliasing in the user guide :-(
Only this info:
“Digital Lens Optimizer: Correct lens aberration, diffraction and low-pass filter-induced loss of sharpness by applying optical design values.”
Could you please add your link to the imaging-resource?

Here's a compo between Panasonic GX85 and the M6. The GX85 does not have AA filter, so it is listed as "Enjoy sharper photos":

https://www.imaging-resource.com/camera ... 6-mark-ii/

You can also click on the specifications tab and it lists the AA filter as "fixed".

Can it work tethered to a computer like most EOS cameras? AFAIK no one M EOS can and for me this is a most useful feature.

Oh. That would for sure be a showstopper for me.

Hi Pau, hi Ray,
It depends on the firmware.
E.g. EOS M50 uses the firmware of the EOS and works as the other EOS cameras.
You know EOS-firmware -> Magic-Lantern; Powershot-firmware -> CHDK.
The first version of the M6 has the firmware from the Powershot but it doesn’t mean that the second one must have the same firmware :-)

That one does indeed work tethered with one hitch - there is no IR or wired shutter release, only BT. As far as I know, there is no handy way to use that with StackShot. Same problem seems to plague M6 Mark II.

Indeed it does. I tried to look for the wired socket, but missed. Now we just need to verify the tethered operation and it would be the first really working M for our game.
