First test with a 50mm Rodenstock APO

Post by svalley »

I forgot I had this lens until recently. Now I'm really glad I kept all the equipment from my darkroom days. An adapter ring finally arrived from China to reverse mount the Rodenstock on my 200mm Micro-Nikkor.

I haven't figured out the magnification yet but, I'm guessing it's somewhere around 3.5x. To my eye it looks quite sharp and will allow me tofit a bit more of a dragonfly's head in the frame.

Looks nice! If the numbers 50 mm and 200 mm are accurate, then the magnification will be 4.0 (=200/50) with the rear at infinity focus.
