Hi Marco,
It is a simple bicycle inner tube.
BTW, this lens only as a bargain!

Hi Marco,
Oh dear, oh dear this is far too much for that :-(
I use the same rings as for the Mitutoyos.

Too much? Looking at ebay it's not bad - I wouldn't want to sell one for less!
There aren't any 80x in my search results though.
NA 0.75 and 4mm WD is a rare combination to find, I think.

Hello Chris,

I have this lens and I know its performance :-(

The most common beginner's mistake is when you want something immediately.
Then you will also only find expensive items.

So if you want to buy something immediately, then you will always have to pay on top.
You need some patience, then you will find a bargain :-)

I sometimes hunt for lenses for several months, but then I pay a fraction of the average price.
If I said at what prices I bought my lenses, no one would believe me.

Adalbert, I agree that patience is important, but time is also important, because our active lives are finite, and the end will come at the same time regardless of the date you buy the lens. Therefore every month spent waiting for a lens is a month lost of working with that lens.

Hi Lou,
You are probably right.
So, I have to buy my next Lamborghini just now :-)

That's the spirit!

At the moment I have only $60 in savings and enough cash to live one month....I could die at any moment, so I will make the most of the present time.If I earn more money than I need in a given month, I spend it on something interesting and useful.
