Gretag 178mm
Hello from Sweden! I just got an Gretag 120mm from Russia and it looks very good. It came with a housing and a 50mm ring for that housing. There is a wider part of threads 50mm where I attached a 52mm step ring. At the front of this lens there is a filter thread of 40,5mm so it was easy to set up for a little test. After trying Lomo 3,7 and Canon MP 35mm 2,8 and also my 50mm 2,8 Apo-Rodagon N reversed, it looks like this could be what I was searching for. Now, there is a Gretag 178mm on the market and my question is if that lens is suitable for macro or not? Thank you for your answers.

I don't think anyone's tried the zoom one either. Too many lenses, too little time and money.

Thank you for an answer. Maybe I should be content with the 120mm I already got.

Re: Gretag 178mm
It would make more sense to spend a little less and get a raynox, a little longer than 180mm but it is a known excellent performer.

I got them to both DCR-150 and DCR-250. But it is always fun to try some new combinations as well!
