My second effort on micro

Post by hotrodder19 »

Similar ant pic as first. Downsized this time and used a 4x micro on the Nikkor 200 F4 lens. Same Jansjo lighting (3) with 25 watt LED lighting surrounding. Nikon D750. Used Mirror up function with remote. Pic is result of 430 images . Exp was 125 F11 Auto .

Your comments would be appreciated----gently, and ideas for better pics.

Thanks hotrodder19

Hello Hotrodder19,
I would say you need a better diffuser. Did you use any?

I used tissues over each of the 3 Jansjo led lights. Why do you say I need more diffuser effect ?

Hello Hotrodder19,
Why do you say I need more diffuser effect ?
Because the light was extremely hard and produced very strong reflections.

I agree, better diffusion will improve image quality quite a bit.

Vellum paper will work better than tissue paper.
