Hi All,
Just received an OEM Nikon Plan APO 20x DIC 0500-0087 objective.
It may be better suited to Microscope rather than slider rail camera setup.
No big budget affair, but have seen a Nikon Eclipse E200 scope minus objectives.
I suppose it would be student class. A trade-off in build and more plastic than the Nikon normal.
Just wondered if this is an ok scope, or should I avoid?
With just 2 eyepieces how easy to connect up a camera (Fuji xt20)?

Re: Nikon Microscope a couple of questions
If you just want it for viewing, and the price is right, it should be decent.
You probably want either a trinocular head or just fit a tube lens for photography
The E200 has some limitations for photography. It's not a particularly stable platform, doesn't have that great a fine focus for focus stacking, and the heads are limited to a 20mm field number. The E400 is more robust. The E600 can be adapted to DIC if you ever see that in your future.

Thanks Pete.
For the heads up!
Think I will go ahead with E200 for the moment,
Then upgrade down the line, when I sell off some surplus equipment.
The E600 is looking good good
