Amoeba proteus ID?

Post by tatler56 »

Am I right in thinking this is an Amoeba proteus? Hoping for a protozoa expert?
Photographed from an unidentified prepared slide, not live!

Many thanks in advance!

Likely a proteus, but I am amazed that it survived slide preparation.

I haven't seen a Proteus in some time, but depending on the bodies in the amoeba, they can be quite colorful, especially in dark field.
