I just finished a short study of Didinium nasatum feeding on Paramecium caudatum. I could not find Didinium at local ponds so ordered some from Boreal labs. All the research papers I read also ordered them. Wondering if any of you have found Didinium in a lake or fresh water pond?
I watched Didinium feed which was amazing and took pictures and videos, below are a couple of photos - I posted the rest along with a video on my web site: https://www.canadiannaturephotographer. ... ecium.html for anyone interested, also have links to early studies on Didinium feeding.
Cheers
