Re: What is this?
HI - as Pau said it is a Diatom - you will find them as slime on rocks in rivers, streams, waterfalls and ponds and there are thousands of shapes and different species.
What caught my eye was your Olympus E microscope. That was my first "real" microscope I purchased over 50 years ago and I am still using it - it is excellent you can buy some additional used accessories on Ebay.com and other online stores.
I have some different photographs of diatoms on my web site along with other organisms from ponds - if Interested in having a look

A phase contrast kit for your microscope will allow to see and photograph a wider variety of aquatic microorganisms if you don't already have one.
Cheers
