Bladderwort (Utricularia sp.)

Post by Charles Krebs »

Fascinating aquatic carnivorous plant.
(With a somewhat unfortunate name.... try telling the wife and kids "Hey, come look at this really cool bladderwort"! For some reason doesn't sound as intriqueing as a "venus fly trap" or a "sundew").

it's true, Charles ... his scientific name is much more attractive than his common name. :)
The photos are, as usual, really beautiful and not only technically perfect. The latter is my favorite.
There is some focus stacking behind these photos, isn't it?
Ciao

What a great way to start 2021! Thank you for showing this to us. It is a fascinating and beautiful subject. I like especially the last one, which has just eaten something.
