Cyanobacteria ID help.

Post by leobalbi »

Hello folks!
I hope you all had a great new year.
Making pineapple seedlings in water, I noticed that the water in some jars were turning green. Looking under the microscope, I found many algae and also cyanobacteria. They appear to be Anabaena sp. but I'm not sure. If someone could point to to some bibliography, I will be immensely grateful.

Yeah, I know... I need to clean the camera sensor... Shame on me! But is in the plans for the next days!

Hi it appears to be a species belonging to the genus Anabaena - search Google images and you find the exact species.
