Lovely!
Do you have some kind of a tutorial or list on what each of those inserts do? I'm still learning!
BTW, the U-AC oly insert works with the U-AAC Aplanat NA 1.4 condenser, a tight but snug fit. :D

Thanks !
One of the Oly Aplanats (with U-AAC) has a conical light entrance.
Most probably you have cylindrical one... What is light entrance diameter and depth (from the base to the aperture mechanism) ?

Mine is the second one, it has a gloss finish opposed to matte on the U-AAC labelled ones. This one was used during the BH2 era, but works well on BX as well.

The bottom dovetail dia is 47mm, internal is 35.02mm.
Depth is 27.63mm, from the opening to the aperture holder mechanism. I don't feel safe shoving my calipers into the blades.

It is indeed interesting, the difference is subtle!
This one shows it better: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Olympus-Micros ... SwOhZdf8oP

Here it is:

I suppose the canonical opening allows better light transmission at lower NA. The Apl only goes down to 0.2, making it unsuitable for anything below 10x.
Oly 4x FL: 0.12 NA
S and Xapo 4x: 0.16
5x are metallurgical ones, capped at below 0.2 NA

So yeah, no real reason to go after the BX-branded one I think. For lower mag, a DIY solution is usually good.
