Basswood two-year-stem, c.s.

Configuring the U-TLU for my Oly bx40.
The custom dovetail adaptor ended up having an opening large enough to securely mount an M42 Wemacro tube.
(Info here: https://www.photomacrography.net/forum/ ... 25&t=41946 Mini-update: Yes the friend of mine did make the adaptor, unfortunately he no longer has the cad files)
The adaptor went into the female dovetail of the U-TLU, then an M42 tube, then my Thorlabs setup. U-TLU focused to infinity.
Surprisingly, it covers full frame with ease. There's faint signs of vignetting.

Obvious smudges due to a large fibre that got caught underneath the slide -- oops!

Oly bx40, 10x Plan Achromat objective. Very promising results.
Just have to wait for my BX53 to come in, can't wait to play with those diatom slides!

Very nice picture. Great level of details.
Can you write few words about staining and mounting technique?

I would love to, I'm going to learn these techniques very soon. However I didn't prepare it.
The slide was purchased from a slides preparer.
