Sunflower pollen in circular oblique light

Post by WalterD »

With the setup I'm using for the 104 type diatom slide I wanted to try sunflower pollen (embedded in Euparal) as well.
I posted pictures from this slide 2 years ago (using DIC and darkfield), but this attempt shows a bit more 3 dimensional and natural looking result.
Objective is 100x Leitz Fluotar with iris diaphragm.

Interesting photograph and gives or provides evidence as to why we go into fits of sneezing when some of us come into contact with the stuff. :)

Very nice, but I would try a dry mount.
