Very cool. What sort of salt are you using there? I have never managed to get ordinary table salt to form crystals like that.

Thanks Dave, it was one of the "leftover" slides - mix of different salts & chemicals (tartaric, ascorbic acid, my blood pressure medications, antibiotics etc) - sometimes it gives interesting results. Later I'm going to post my lightning setup, which gave nice results.

Tried another type of the slider instead slit - results are great, I can adjust 3D effect (even it is not close to the aperture !)

Another one. King Kong ?

33 photos, same setup, except modulator - got some "ND sheet" from China, so tried to improvise HM "thing" plus pol filter together on the rotatable insert above the objective.

Filters are temporary, just for testing, will make something better :) ...
Rotatable pol insert fits Nikon EPI illuminators, Microphots etc ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/323232270818 , 27mmx5.6mm) . It contains gears, when you are rotating one end, another rotates also.

I can really appreciate your design as I mentioned before. Very creative. I was trying to make something similar couple years ago but it was way to much work. Guess I couldn't think outside the box. <g>
