Yesterday and today I was using two different microscope objectives first an infinite Nikon 40x ELWD.
Then I used a finite Nikon M plan apo 40x
For the cropped stereo I did some more processing in Photoshop that I do not usually do because a single picture looks over sharpened, but I did this with the intention to make the stereo “cleaner” to look at.

It is a pollen grain.

For those that wants to take photos of butterfly scales I mostly recommend plan apo lenses. But since those tends to have a short WD, fluor and other lenses can be used. I also recomend using a microscope with EPI light possibilities.
