A few years ago I tracked down a number of Olympus NFK eyepieces at very good prices. The NFK projection eyepieces were know for their speed, flatness of field and contrast. I replaced the projection eyepiece I had been using with an Olympus NFK 3.3X LD. The relay lens to the DSLR was still a 50mm f1.4 OM ZUIKO set to f5.6. The sweet spot on that lens is f8, but it was vignetting at f* so I backed off to f5.6
Because of the speed of the NFKs, there is less noise because higher shutter speeds can be used so focus stacks can more easlly be accomplished by running the camera in the sequential mode and slowly rolling the fine focus on the microscope.
