Plasterer Bee - Colletes simulans nevadensis

taken in the backyard on the rose bush, he was going after the dead leaves rather than the flowers for some reason. ive never seen one of these before its usually the yellow and white or all black.

It sure is pretty. Maybe it is one of those leaf-cutter bees.

Nice shot, it is definitely a Megachilid and not a Colletes

ok thanks gordon. that was the closest i could get. the Colletes i saw on this website were the only white bees i could find but lacked the tiny yellow spots on the back. thanks for clearing it up.
