What am Eye?

Post by Mike B in OKlahoma »

Okay, not really an eye....But in the spirit of Tom Webster's posts, what is shown here? Answer to be revealed in a couple of days. Conceivably someone will guess WHAT this is, and I'll be really impressed if y'all do. I don't expect anyone to get a species, but I think when you see what it is, it will be worth a laugh, or at least a smile.

Uh, Mike? Can you post it a little bigger? I really can't make out much from this small image. Ya' know ya' can post images up to 800 pixels on the longest dimension, right?

This is a 100% crop, sorry. The part of the image you see here covers an area (guessing here) perhaps 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch.

May be unrealistic of me to expect even a guess about what it is from what you can see here. I'll post the full pic tomorrow.

Mike - knowing you have an interest in snakes I'm guessing it's a pic of the inside of a snakes mouth - the palate maybe?

Bruce :-k

...or tongue sheath?

Well, to me it looks like the roof of the top jaw of the snake. It doesn't really look like the bottom jaw of the snake.
P.S. this is my first post on here. :D

Hi Brie, thanks for honoring my post with your first comment! Put some of your photos up here soon.

For everyone, here's the answer to my conundrum:

Pretty evil of me to let y'all think this was part of a snake! :-)

And congrats to Bruce and Doug for inferring that this was part of the mouth of SOMETHING, anyway!

Rik didn't jump in so I should know it would be extremely difficult to guess. Although he likes puzzles with hard earned solutions.  O:)
