Is picture quality affected?

By much?

If it's not, then just keep this lens in a bright and dry enviroment (silica gel).

You can consider getting that 40mm pancake with the K-01, it's the kit lens.
Since it is mirrorless, you won't have to worry about vibrations. The sensor is pretty good, too.

But still quite a gamble unless it works.

I think you mix up DOF with resolution here.

For better testing, can you try something properly exposed? Sensors don't really like the dark as much as the light.

Nicely done.
Do you use an external trigger for that?

Is there any experience with shipping time?
I had one with the expensive UPS service, NYC (BH-Photo) to me took a mere 36 hours, but the much prefered cheaper shipping certainly won't be as fast.

The post apparently has been removed and should have been available to the public. Not sure what Google is doing these days. Anyway, as Rik pointed out, he used an aerosol coolant (parfumed even) to immobilize grasshoppers and put them in a rose. The resulting picture looked somewhat like a crossing...

actually you can (sort of) expand the number of pins by using shift registers. such as this one http://www.sparkfun.com/products/733 basically you use one pin to on your arduino to control several pins on the shift register chip, thus effectively expand the number of pins you have at your disposal ...

..no ..what is LAB mode? :?: can you tell me some steps? best Arturo I'm not really competent (yet) with this mode, but I can give you some starting advice. In Photoshop (don't know from which CS on), you can change the colour mode in a picture (RGB, CMYK, etc.). LAB is among that. To work in LAB m...

Just a myth? Ice spray for macro.

I've always thought of this as a myth, but I've recently stumbled across someone who really uses ice spray to immobilize insects.

Is this a more common technique than I had thought? Google didn't exactly turn up much results.
