Do you have the Pro version of Sharpcap? If so, have you looked at their SDK?

That would be hard to say as you haven't given any dimensions for your post :D

It only takes two right angle brackets to constrain a vertical post. 8020 and also Misumi sell brackets for their extrusions. Whether or not they would fit your post would depend on where the holes are located. p.s. You could remove material from the bottom of the post in order to make the holes mat...

Well, I ended up ordering from a different seller on eBay, but who knows if I will get either one of these. The whole thing feels like a scam. Hope not, and I will let you know if I ever receive one of these. I personally would not buy from AliE since I don't think the buyer protections are as robu...

The usual way to handle this is to use a separate platform to hold the camera and subject. This can be isolated from the external vibrations. There are many examples in the forum from simple to complex.

I think the table is going to be prone to vibrations no matter how you fasten the camera to it, however, if you can drill and tap holes, then it would be easy to make a camera c-clamp. This clamp would probably make a good base. It just needs a hole tapped for a ballhead (or pan and tilt head). Ther...

My guess is the set screw galled the shaft. A bearing (or wheel) puller may be needed to remove the pulley.

You may want to see if they sell the controller separately and if it will support sub-micron steps. Linear slides are easily adapted to stepper motors.

You might try something like this to mount your chip on.

Front surface mirrors are pretty inexpensive from Surplus Shed.

I should have asked, how are you shooting each frame, moving the camera/lens orthogonally or rotating around the entrance pupil?

Magnets are pretty weak in shear. If you get one that is strong enough in shear it will probably be dangerous to handle around ferrous metal. Thanks for the input. Because flat neodimium magnets are inexpensive I could try with low risk, as they are strong perpendicular to the surface, some frictio...
