Beautiful images, Wim! :) I especially like the second image. Does that rotifer create an external tube to retract into?

Goodness gracious, Charlie. These are wonderful images! I especially like #2. I can see how a copepod would be slowed down by all the hangers-on! These are wonderful images. :)

At first I thought this was undergoing mitosis but realized that it is a desmid maturing. This is a very nice series of images.

Paul, I like all of your images. These are some pretty wild looking harvestmen. I've never seen harvestmen with so many spines and with such large pedipalps. I find the images made with UV light to be somewhat eerie and attractive at the same time. Thanks for a nice series of photos. :)

This is quite a striking microfossil. I love the color of the microfossil and I also like the foreground reflection and the treatment of the background. This is a fine image.

I love macro images of butterfly/moth wing scales. I especially like number 1. It reminds me of the skeins of colored ribbons you find in a fabric store. This is a fine series of images. :)

This is a very interesting algae. I would not have guessed these are colonial. Looks like a loose gathering to my eyes. Thanks for the additional details.

I'm on a waiting list for a 40D. I'll give y'all a report after I receive it. If it is as good as Canon claims I'll probaqbly use it more than the 1D MkII I have.

I would set my camera to give me a nice, sunlit background exposure but I used electronic flash to light the dragonflies. Male Roseate Skimmer... http://...
