Hi Rik the two Euplotes seemed to be attached as moving one moved the other, but there are other possibilities. I have lots ciliates dividing but never seen two like this? Other possible explanations are possible, hoping maybe someone might comment. Bruce Taylor always provides interesting insights....

I just finished a short study of Didinium nasatum feeding on Paramecium caudatum. I could not find Didinium at local ponds so ordered some from Boreal labs. All the research papers I read also ordered them. Wondering if any of you have found Didinium in a lake or fresh water pond? I watched Didinium...
