Re: large ant

Hi Javier,
I see the use of zoom lenses like the Canon 70-200 very cumbersome because of the weight and size.
yes, you are right, but you can use FB of ML on your 6D with it :-)
I have a 6D too and like ML and its FB.

B&W

Hello everybody, The other day I was asked for the black and white photos. So I quickly converted a few. https://flic.kr/s/aHsmVfdfA3 In doing so, I used a black and white - control layer or the channel calculations. Attached are a few examples: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51109372109_a9bfe8...

Re: large ant

Hi Javier,
I could imagine your 6D getting some vignetting with the EF 70-200L,
but the 50D should work without any problems.

Re: large ant

Hi Paweł,
trying the focus bracketing and full electronic shutter with continuous lighting
yes, internal FB does not support flash :-(
But FB of ML on 6D works great with flash :-)

Re: Sunset moth scales @29X

Hello Macrero,
well done! :smt041
I think this lens performs better at 100m than at 200mm.

Re: large ant

Hi,

I can only say that Mitu10x with DCR150 or EF70-200L is good for FF.
( I don't use NIKON lenses, not anymore because of CA).

I use ML with my 6D and internal FB with the M6M2.
The readout time of the chip of the M6M2 at full el. shutter = 1/20s

Re: Shutter second curtain shock moving water mount subjects when using OIL objectives

Hello Javier,
Seems it is time to look for a camera with full electronic shutter
Good idea!
I've already switched to M6M2, but it doesn't fire the flashes at the full electronic shutter, so I have to fire them from the controller.

Re: Hairy areas Zerene stacking problem

Hi Paweł,
will I have to work hard at PS
yes, if you want to achieve good results, you will have to work hard :-(

Some workflows:
https://www.photomacrography.net/forum/ ... 27&t=43340

The crossed hairs can be retouched e.g. by Zerene (using sub-stacks).

Re: Insects, and maybe a discussion about post-processing

Hi Mark,
I don't usually take advantage of the greater depth available in processing from Raw.
So I immediately convert to Jpeg or Tiff format
TIFF is OK (16 Bit)
