eww ill take the berries thanks!, nice photographs, im quite fond of photographs containing fruiting bodies in natural habbitat.

m not a big fan of darker bgs from flash, though thats just my personal pref, though there are times where it definetly shines, no dout.

the photos look great imo, esp the flower, great idea to defuse the flash heads, raw flash can be alittle harsh and reflective, i like to use a diffuser too. you may want to experiment with differences exposure compensation and FEB, (flash exposure compensation) if you havent allready, for a feel of...

thats an interesting looking specimen, and jaw dropping photographs of it!

I wouldnt say that AV mode is causing your troubles, though it is hard to even depict what troubles you are having?

I shoot with flash in AV mode alot.

Hmm thats odd, I dont recall any Myena having characteristics like the fungus in your photograph. (confused) I agree that the easyest way to identify fungus is with viewing the spores under a microscope.
