I believe that they are froghopper eggs. The tops open as if on a hinge, well worth keeping an eye on if you retained a sample.

The colour images work for me as a cross eye pair, with perfect alignment.
I've not appreciated before that diatoms could look just like a mix of boiled sweets!

Hi,
I've looked through my old notes and remember now. I tried it at various tube lengths and found that 210mm, or very close to that, gave a mag. of 20X and concluded that it was it was intended for that. Crude, but it seems to have worked.

Hi,
I have one of these and I treat it as a 210 tl finite lens. Can't remember now where I pulled this info from, but using it as such gives good results.
