Keith, thank you very much for those tips, I saved the PDF for later use and testing. Have to check that ammonia method too.

Two Horse-fly eyes

Yesterday I opened the freezer and got two late horse-flies out for a photo shoot test. I used Canon Auto Bellows for the first time with 80D and Lomo 3,7x. Have to admit that bellows is sooo much easier to work with than tubes. Definitely have to test it some more. It was bit late and I was too tir...

Very beautiful. That Sigma 135 is a great lens by itself, and an even better tube lens for microscope objectives. Thanks Lou! Yes, Sigma 135/1.8 is an impressive piece of glass. I wonder the amount of adapter rings needed to get down to Mitu threads from 82mm though..or RMS threads even. I have jus...

True bug - Heteroptera species in studio

Not totally happy, ordered polarising film A4-size to tame the reflections. 64 pictures stacked in ZS. Lomo 3,7x and Canon 80D.

Anemone hepatica + a bonus bug

I was shooting my first hepaticas of the season and got a little passenger too. Five image stack, Canon 6DmkII + Sigma 135 with 20mm extension. Not perfect but came out as a decent print. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/867/40864534014_d0ac36ff51_c.jpg Anemone hepatica by Rane Olsen , on Flickr - Rane
