Thanks for the nice comments! :D

I am still amazed over Zerene Stackers abillity to handle (almost) all bristles and hairs.

Geotrupidae

Geotrupidae This is some closeups of what I belive is a Geotrupidae beetle. I still have to establish what species it is. Nikon 4x 0.2 and Nikon 10x 0.3, Zerene Stacker, Slabber Jockey, sensor dust and dead pixels removed in PS and curves and sharpening in Canon DPP. I use to have a black background...

Question about WD Nikon 100x NA 0.75 finite

I have started to look for a Nikon Plan finite 100x with long WD. The info I have is from the CF price list where LWD 100x NA 0.90 has WD 1.00 mm, ELWD 100x NA 0.80 has WD 2.0 mm and the SLWD 100x NA 0.75 has WD 4.7 mm. In the few pictures I have seen of these objectives they are all marked with ELW...

Added images that shows both how the impression of the color changes with a different direction of the light and what it looks like without any PS "cleaning". Evides elegans (Images added)

Had the oportunity to take some photos of the this Evides elegans at the Swedish museeum of natural history. I did not have the possibility to clean the insect so in this case I did more than I usually think is OK in PS, including removing the needle from the first picture. MP-E 65, Zerene Stacker a...

Henrik K-L I do not want to argue against building and programming your own rail – but I have to admit that I am very pleased with the Stackshot for indoor use. If you hook it up to your PC and use Zerene Stacker there are a lot more benefits than I first realised. One is the possibility to get prof...

Dunk

This is very well done! Especially considering that the interior of the nautilus is so reflective.

I will try that. But When I go to initiate a stack from the EOS Utility on my computer I have to close Live View otherwise StackShot won't start triggering my camera, so the logical assumption is EFSC is disabled as soon as I have to close Live View. Also it seems the pictures are clearer with the ...
