Eureka!!!! I found the source of my flare problems

Hi, After seeing the good results the JML was giving I joined the party and bout a couple of this lenses, how fustraiting was when I found that all my shots had a beautifull glare in the middle of the frame. Yesterday while testing a wollensak 24mm 3.5 I bought very cheap from surplus shed (this was...

You should have not problem at all, you just need an fd to eos adapter. I had the canon auto bellows but I sold them, the fd mount is the most stupid mount ever

One more Crane Fly

Je, je; not same quality as morfa´s, Rik´s and Jotafoto´s examples but my first attempts with the Nikon E Plan 10x 160/0.25 LWD. Tthis is made out of 39 shots with increments of 0,02 which proved insuficient, 0,01 micrometre increments would have been best. (my micrometre has 0,02 increments but wit...

I thought of that but does not seem right; lens inscriptions suggest mounting should be normal, rear element has a threaded element and no protection. Workin distance from front elemnt is about 12-14mm; from rear element 3-4mm The whole thing does not make sense; I will try to post some picture tomo...

Pretty interesting stuff, I´ve been having trouble with the jml too, will try both the lens hood and the rear baffle, some manual focus lens users also add a baffle on the camera mount, with a square hole to minimize reflections from the camera body to the lens By the way, I am interested in how you...

Thank for your answers, in all three shots light comes from a flash on the left difused by a cup difuser. This cup diffuser is inside another diffuser with the left part missing and silver tape on the rigth. the first two shots are done using the pmax method, 3rd shot is Dmap with lots of retouching...

I first red this review in morpha´s flickr site and was a very good read. I happen to have the same summar 120mm but my unit needs some refurbishment; the balck paint on the inside covering the elements is peeling of, so I may get internal reflections. After reding this test I thought of doing a sim...

I also happen to have flare problems with my JML, I also noticed some CA on my 5D but they mighjt be outside of the limits of an APS-C sensor. My flare was brown, I was taking pictures of a wasp´s eye, happened to be brown. Some could still be used but had somewhat low contrast. My problem is mostly...
