Mount Etna
Although I have only seen from the decks of the USS Truxtun CGN-35 in 1986 when we were in the Med, it has become one of my favorites because of live cameras the show the frequent summit eruption at the New Southeast Crater. He sells Meiji scopes and does repair work. You might want to contact him about your problem. I and others have found him very goo...

SONYNUT I do use PS CS5 although I am probably one of the worst users of it on the planet. The color shown is very close to what one would see under the microscope, I just checked again. I end up losing the true color when I get more contrast. I have tried several different combination of methods. I...

ChrisR My source for the MSH material has been active in the research on the minerals found there. For the difficult to ID one the provided samples or similar ones were analyzed. In the case of tiny crystals like this, visual ID would be difficult at best. It helps somewhat that MSH has a number of ...

Harry, I never had the chance to collect there. All of my material has come from Laszlo Horvath who has been very active in collecting and mineral research of MSH material. I grew up in western New York and never went there as I was not aware of it at the time. I was offered the opportunity to do so...
