Setting up my PZO (for those in the know)

Let the fun begin, at least for me. Would appreciate any help in getting my PZO setup and ready to use. Looks like the first thing needed is solving the power supply situation, then the proper bulb. Keep in mind that I am still in the learning stage, plus I am electrically challenged. After that is ...

Wow, very nice! I couldn't find an exact match in Schmidts Atlas but I'd say you're close enough. <g>

JW, the part that you took out of the top of the photoport, the "Nikon chimney", does it have a lens at the bottom? As in the image below? If so, you might be able to do the same modification. If not: My Nikon photoport can take normal visual eyepieces. Does the photoport take the Nikon CFN 10x eye...

I haven't inspected the 'inside' of the Nikon Trinocular head but I wonder if cutting it down as shown below and inserting/adhering a Nikon bayonet type adapter in the tube would work? If so, maybe another 'brand' of Trinocular with the proper dovetail (if they exist) would be a touch thinner vertic...

So if I purchased the photo eyepiece, I then would need some sort of Nikon camera mount adapter? What's that puppy called?

Optiphot owners(?) Trinocular

Is there a way to mount my Canon 50D on top of a Trinocular and get the required distance needed from sensor to shoulder of eyepiece? My Nikon Trinocular won't do the trick even if I cut it down. Doesn't look promising. <g. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/153_Nikon_Trinocular_1.jpg htt...

I ran a free dial-up BBS (Bulletin Board System) way back in 1988 which eventually evolved into a International dial-up network using a Frontend program and mail packets. Many greenbacks later, the Network and BBS died in 1997 once the Internet became somewhat popular and more available. Anyway, the...

Very nice Frank! How did you accomplish that in the first image and approximately how many images were in the stack?

Thanks Rik, I was just wondering what I may have done wrong if anything. I probably should have mentioned the stack increments were 0.5 µm.
