Nope

They are excatly ground to Between 20 microns - 30 Microns
not necisarey just 30 Microns

Newer grinding tools make them often 20 Microns (have lots of them)

diffrent materials ?

Hi To see optical diffrences are only half the idea , the other half is to use a spectroscope to got more info out from the structure Thinks this is an intressting track , due to its fast and simple analysis setup - compared to other techniques Perhaps its a dead end street - but sure worth looking ...

This is just an Idea , that i have to look up closer The preparations are flat mounted between glas Have read some papers with Pol analysis on bioligical preparations that work Pol light have diffrent look then it pass diffternt crystal structures in preparations , so i think this work on Bilog...
