Hi.
Does anyone have a Nikon multiphot diascopic illuminator they would
be willing to part with?
Thanks
Mike

Wasp Head Shot
Hi Gang!
Played with a specimen, trying to get a good stack.
Any ideas as to how to gently remove dust? I use a feather
and it works well, but I do not want to damage my subject.
Thanks
Mike

Hi JSWATTS Yes, just verified. It is a juvenile Cuban Tree Frog. These guys get big. Pretty startling when, in the early morning, you walk outside and a big guy, with large eyes, is sitting on the side you your house, staring at you. I can imagine their thoughts; "Nope. He is too big to get my toung...

Frog
Hi Gang! We have invasive frog species here in Florida. After a rain during the night last night, there were a lot of small guys that crawled up into some plants we have in the back flower bed. This guy thought he was hiding, so I took a quick shot. Nikon D810, 200mm Micro Nikkor lens, electronic fr...

Maple Leaf Skeleton and nest revisit
Hi Gang! This is my first stack with my new D810. I found a leaf skeleton where a bird was trying to make a nest in my shop, so I thought it might be a good first attempt. I used 1 second shutter delay, followed by 3 second exposures at 10 micron increments for a 215 image stack. This setup is about...

Another nest
Hi Gang
I had to remove another wasp nest from where our newspaper
gets placed. These critters can find the most interesting place
to build!
Here is a shot of the nest. Thee lights, adjustable diffusers.

My Setup
Hi Gang I wanted to share my setup with everyone. I have an optical bread-board and some custom items that I use to assist in my macro work. I am still trying to dial in my lighting, but what I came up with really helps with flexibility. Here are some shots of what I have. http://www.photomacrograph...

Hi A-PeeR I know how you feel. I too started a while back, but I am trying to STILL get my first good shot, worthy of some positive feedback. It all seems so easy; we know what we want to capture, but execution is pretty darn tough. Your patience has paid off!! I love the detail in this. Please keep...

Hi!! I like how simple and easy your setup looks. Mine is a Frankenstein! I will try to show photos soon. I think the idea of the orange as a back drop is cool. My head keeps thinking of studio setups with cloth/paper, and I simply forget to think out of the box, like using an orange as a backdrop!!...
