Rik, I understand all your concerns about the further/much work an admin would have with keeping also a "relaxed" database somehow up to date...

It just were my two cents about some interesting lenses for starters & experienced users here...

Thankyou for your work and advices here!

Re: Interesting Macro-Lenses, Ebay-resources, database

The price information would be useful to have. However, copyright to the pictures and accompanying text is held by eBay sellers. Copying and displaying that material here would place photomacrography.net in the awkward position of carefully defending copyright of its members' images, while actively...

Interesting Macro-Lenses, Ebay-resources, database

The unfortunate aspect is when Ebay takes the ad out of their nearterm database and it no longer can be seen. So, maybe, in order to have a database in this finest group, and as Ebay and auction houses are somewhat the main source for most members here: Perhaps at the end of an auction, this final ...

Re: NEW Nikon 10X M Plan MI Microscope Objective

NEW Nikon 10X M Plan MI Microscope Objective What is it? It's a 10X Nikon CF M 210/0, finite objective. Craig, as written in the Auction text, this Nikon 10X M Plan MI- is a Michelson Interference Objective. This objective is used in interferometry. As far as I remember, the experienced seller "los...

Reason I posted that item is that I've recently read many stories of people buying the "wrong" objective (infinities, mostly), and so I wanted to give everyone a heads up regarding a "correct" objective showing up on ebay, specially because it was not clearly identified as being the CFN Plan that g...

Re: Getting Equiped For Scanning

My scanner (Epson V750 Pro) still lurks in my loft but may be installed before very long. Harold Harold, as far it is MY own experience: as far as colour "production" - better "reproduction" is concerned: the official provides EPSON Scan software does a really good job - the colours come out very g...

@ Linden -- protection against dirt, accuracy

@ Linden I like your idea very much. All the hunting for focus-blocks and adapting them etc. could have an end. Here my simple cents to your setup: 1) Material -- is it made of stainless steel - which would be great - I think about using it mounted to a rigid enlarger stand or to the Nikon Multiphot...

This looks very interesting ... It would be very nice, if you would - furtheron - develop this for NIKON cameras, also! Will it run on Windows 7 (or even Mac OSX 10.6?) And: Which Focusing blocks or setup will this support - do you think, or can you provide something as a whole setup (incl. motor) ?...

@Cactusdave, thankyou for your reply -- and I am glad to know you as an already user of this nice microscope. Nikon Diaphot: "direct" captures? Imagesizes?

@ Charles, (and all of you highly appreciated professsionals here !) I would like to have some technical explainations on a Nikon Diaphot. Dear Charles, I came across your famous site and the explainations on Microscope-photography there a few month ago now. This is my very first posting in this fin...
