One needs to be astute on eBay. And let's face facts, this still is the market. I recently bought a Zeiss 16X multi immersion lens on eBay for $200. If that's too much for your hobby there is no hope. The risk is delamination with Zeiss objectives, but they're worth the hunt.

The pc board transistor or bridge rectifier, 99% of the time ... and where would the bridge rectifier be located in the image I posted. The square black thing with 4 wires on it between the fuse and transformer. Also, if one of the transistors on the pc board area is discolored from heat, it's bad....

Seriously? You drilled and tapped the Y scale indicator for a lock screw rather than adjusting the Y rack to resolve play in the table when moving the slide by hand?
