Interesting! I note the working distance is as bad as that of these x-ray lenses though. We, yea, of course it would be since its a multi immersion objective with only 3.5 mm wd. There is no market for this thing. Customers are far better off using a 10x plan apo multi immersion 0.50 na objective w...

These microscopes had a problem when using time lapse during fluorescence. They would not hold focus. At first we allthought it was the triaxial focus drifting, but soon realized it was thermal drift from the hot mercury lampbouse expanding and contracting the aluminium arm. That mirror box was supp...

A few things I remember about them as a Nikon dealer. They were a Zeiss copy of the Zeiss Jena Stereo, and arguably better. The column was spring loaded counterbalanced. Mechanically and optically excellent, built to last a lifetime, except for the tiny little tension celluloid washers in the focus ...

With the .32x, you can use a normal comp eyepiece, you do not need an Nfk projection eyepiece

It's from an era when Leitz / Leica was in turmoil, product wise. Little to no product information is available except by inference.
I use it sometimes on a Zeiss Axiomat Pol with the 0.1x c mount adapter and a Nikon DS 5 color camera.

It is not going to be possible as the diameter going in is smaller than the zoom periplan eyepiece. If you simply raised the periplan zoom eyepiece up with an adapter, you would destroy the tube length as well as the parfocality. Then you have the problem of no .32X lens in the Canon adapter to cont...

Windows 10 doesn't play well with digitally unsigned drivers. Even if you were able to locate it online, 10 wouldn't allow it to connect most likely. Best use Win 7 64 bit pro.

Lead free glass on the newer versions would be my assumption, due to EPA guidelines put in place a while ago. Around the same time they had to redesign the brewster window of all the Argon multi line gas lasers sold in the USA.

JW, I can attest that this Zeiss objective is one of my favorites. Mine will produce excellent, even DIC on the Ultraphot 3, as well as the WL ; both with the older style common main prisms II, and III, with condenser prism 2. Strangely, it's also a phase 3 version. Back in the late 70's, I used the...
