Yes, but actually I bought the lens used and the original hood came along in the deal. I know this is quite an old post, but for what its worth, I have published my first post on this forum here using this lens, and I think it handles really well.
Actually, I bought it based on the many glowing reviews, including yours, Enrico, so thank you for that.
