Amazing. How do You managed to stack a fluorescence images without an awful blur? Every time i stack an fluorescence image, small blur portions from each frame are overlaped :(

Hi. About slit condenser i know only about Zeiss, PZO, and Leitz. Can't find any Leitz photo. PZO one is on my photos. Zeiss made it for interphako head and Pol condenser with interchangeable discs : http://thumbs3.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mQ3KbHKA5Px0JDHKwTRr2Gg.jpg http://i.ebayimg.com/t/CARL-ZEISS...

You can ask me, i know all about it. No english manual, sorry. But in Pluta "Advanced light microscopy" is quite a lot about PZO DIC. Here are photos of set that i sold some time ago: https://plus.google.com/photos/110216219979417982302/albums/5997014565441625905 Kpi2 is a condenser for DIC with fou...

Those are amazing. How do You deconvolve the image?

Yes. MPI has telan lenses - like any other bit of equipment for finite system (with exception of some epi-illuminatrors for dedicated, longer tube lenght lenses). It'll work fine with a couple millimeter differences - effect will be a slightly difference of magnification and if You exceed objective ...

PZO DIC is very rare, but quite cheap. The cheapest set i saw was an trinocular biolar scope with basic DIC configuration for about 750 USD - which is standard price for complete DIC set alone. But that was some time ago - now the prices are higher with every passing day. The set alone is very versa...

For sale: Nikon upper DIC prism for 160 TL [SOLD]

It's been sold, sorry. Hello! I've got two Nikon DIC upper parts but i'm using mostly the one with dedicated objective sliders, so i can exchange this one. It got an microphot tube adapter, but if someone have optiphot/labophot slider adapter, it can be used with it as well. It have few scratches on...

Looks like overexposed diatoma in fluorescence. Quite often when strong and weak signal fluorescence are together.

That's, exactly what i wrote :) . It's also worth to bear in mind, that using slit you can make DIC with any prism and any objective and the quality depends on the slit dimension. Only extremely narrow slit diaphragm give significant coherent noise (?) and it's lowering resolution mostly in the dire...

Sure! This method has two improvements. It add an obligue light effect via selective aperture shutting and also "cutting" the interference fringe. It's hard to explain with my english, but i'll try another way. Setup your scope to DIC normally and then remove condenser prism and one of the eyepieces...

Interesting discussion we have here :) On Polish forum, members do great photos, but lack of technical expertise :) Objective Na is the limit or resolution of the system I agree. That is why I disagree with your claim that "if condenser has Na 0,4 and lens is 0,65 then effective aperture is only 0,4...

Indeed, formula is most aplicable to phase, regular objects, like Rik said - and many other subject can dramatically change true resolving power, but it can never be better than the theoretical - always worse. Also in darkfield and phase contrast image forming is on absolutely different laws, so con...

Check M.Pluta "Advanced light microscopy" Vol 1 -3. Condenser aperture is also determining a objective aperture. Ie if condenser has Na 0,4 and lens is 0,65 then effective aperture is only 0,4. Also if condenser aperture is higher than maximum objective Na it is lowering the microscope resolving abi...

1) Don't know. I own labophot 2 and it's outstanding. I suppose microphot is better. 2) No idea. I suppose yes. 3) Sure. You'll need a cube with a halfmirror and UV barrier filter mounted in exciter place. 4) I've got upper DIC prism (actualy a whole nosepiece with DIC slider and analyser), but no D...

It's a Demodex. Not everyone got it. They feed mostly on fat from eyelashes. But can also feed on other fat from head and face - and it is extremely difficult to cure.
