If the DIC components are also for the Optiphot the 0.65 one seems more adequate.
That said, if the 0.75 was adequate it will be nicer...
Is there a Nikon expert to answer it?

Re: Questions regarding Nikon universal DIC condenser.
Not sure (and I'm not knowledgeable on that Nikon stuff) but I'm almost sure that the NA 0.65 is a CF and the NA 0.75 is a CFN. If so, likely each one will work better when paired with condenser and DIC prisms of the same time/series. Is yours an Optiphot or an Optiphot 2?

Very nice and interesting!
I've most enjoyed the study of microscope objectives towards the end of the video.

Re: Fuji GFX microphotography
Hi, some pointers: I am exploring shooting very magnified samples on the GFX system but I have never used a microscope so I am trying to find information about what I need to collect in order to capture well. I am interested in shooting between x500-x1000, with dark field polarized light microscopy....

Re: A very elementary question about cameras
Of course there are more modern -and expensive- options but if you want good image quality and adequate frame coverage on a tight budget, the 5D MkII option seems to me very adequate (providing that it's in good condition and with a clean sensor) The IQ will be similar or likely higher than the 50D ...

Excellent work!
The stereo makes the structure much clearer: In the first image the left wing front edge end looks very similar to the siting /ovopositor while in the stereo this similarity disappears.

Re: Laowa Aurogon Super-Micro lens test and comparison (versus Mitutoyo etc.)
Hi Jason, At the beginning of the thread I (erroneously) asked Macro_Cosmos ... Could you test the objective at its intended parfocal distance without the "tube lenses"? I'm curious about its rear focal distance and "original" magnification alone, and of course about its IQ, image circle and possibi...

Very nice!
Are you sure that the location is Paracus and not Paracas? (I have good memories of the Paracas peninsula, a desert place in the Peru coast now a natural reserve where I traveled when young)

Re: Laowa Aurogon Super-Micro lens test and comparison (versus Mitutoyo etc.)
Thanks for performing the test! Likely Laowa will not be too happy with your results The relay lens likely shrinks it, acting like an aperture. Laowa calls it a tube lens, it is misleading and wrong. This lens is not an infinity system, those are likely field extenders which are similar to teleconve...

Re: Agatized dinosaur bone from 0.7x to 60x
Very nice. Mark is right, the structure looks very similar to the mammals compact bone And a different cell with the 60x as well just for fun. This doesn't look a cell but an osteon: a Haversian canal surrounded by layers of mineralized matrix with small cavities (lacunae) where the cells (osteocyte...

Re: Meta Material Lens Technology in 11 Min Video
Interesting although in the video I see lots of hype but low scientific explanation level, also some really weird things: not only the shape of the nanostructures but specially the fact that after passing through the metalens the light propagates in curved rays
