Wanted: rear cover for Leica DMLB 30W halogen lamp (UK)

Does anyone have one by any chance?

Or a complete 30W lamphouse assembly?

I have several Schott light guides (with illuminator rings for stereomicroscopes attached) if that is what you need. UK.

As you can imagine, they are heavy. When screwed in fully there is still a gap of a few cm's, meaning they wont clamp t...

Speaking of fungal growth, this is part of a microscope that landed in front of me today. It had been used at sea (!). Most of the optical surfaces were like this. Surprisingly, it seemed to clean up well (IPA wasn't that good but Zeiss Lens wipes worked much better). Apologies for the image quality...

Great images and beautiful creatures - thanks for sharing :)

I'm also impressed that you took the time to set up a UV light and a backlight in the middle of the forest. I imagine good insect repellant is a must.

Thank you very much for your helpful suggestions Chris. I actually managed to free the brass section (without further disassembly) by screwing the steel axle back into position and then gentle applying pressure to the brass end using a cheap plastic pipe wrench (these also work well on stuck objecti...
